What this is

An independent consultation with a UK clinician to help you understand whether IVF is the right next step, and what it would realistically involve for you. You leave with a written summary and, where appropriate, a referral to a leading London fertility clinic that suits you.

What this isn’t

The treatment itself. We don’t perform IVF. That’s done by our partner fertility clinics in London. Your decision, your timing, your choice of clinic.

What’s different about talking to us first

If you’ve been trying to conceive without success, the path forward can feel overwhelming. We are independent of any one clinic, so the first conversation is about you, and the right option for you.

An honest answer on whether IVF is right for you

Not everyone who’s struggling to conceive needs IVF. We’ll look at your situation, fertility history, and what’s actually been investigated so far, then give you a realistic view of whether IVF makes sense or whether something simpler should come first.

Realistic success rates for your situation

Fertility clinics have an incentive to be optimistic. We don’t. We’ll talk through what success rates actually look like for someone in your circumstances, and how many cycles people typically budget for, so you can plan with your eyes open.

The right clinic for you, not the first clinic you find

London has dozens of IVF clinics, and they’re not all equally suited to every patient. We refer you to the partner clinic in our network that best fits your age, history, and goals, so you don’t waste time and money getting that wrong.

The real cost

What IVF actually costs at our partner clinics.

Most clinics advertise a tempting headline price that few patients actually qualify for. Here are the three real cost tiers, with the practical qualifying notes for each.

Standard cycle

£2,949

Includes medication. Available to patients under 35 with a BMI up to 35 and good baseline fertility markers.

No age or BMI limit

£9,549

Includes medication. Open to patients of any age, any AMH level, no BMI restriction. The most inclusive option.

ICSI (sperm injection, if needed)

£1,000–£1,500

Genetic embryo testing (PGT-A, optional)

£2,500–£4,000

Embryo freezing and annual storage

£350+ initially, £300–£500/yr

Most patients budget for 2–3 cycles to give themselves the best chance

Plan accordingly

All treatment prices shown are typical of our partner clinics in London and are subject to change. Sonya will walk you through which tier you’d qualify for, what add-ons might apply to your situation, and what to realistically budget for, on your consultation. You’ll receive a full written breakdown from the clinic before committing to anything.

The process

From booking to a clear plan, in three steps.

  1. Step one

    Book your slot

Choose a time that works for you, with same-day slots where available and evenings and weekends included. You’ll receive a short intake form so we have your background before the call.

  2. Step two

    Speak with the clinician

A 30-minute private consultation by phone or video. We discuss your fertility history, talk through what’s been investigated so far, and give you a realistic picture of where IVF fits — or whether something simpler should come first.

  3. Step three

    Get your plan and referral

You’ll leave with a written summary. If it’s the right next step, we send a direct referral to the right partner clinic for you, usually with an appointment within a week.

Why independent guidance

Before you commit thousands, get an unbiased view.

IVF clinics need to fill treatment slots. An independent clinician doesn’t. We choose the right clinic for your needs. Think of this as a second opinion, before the first one.

Going directly to a clinic

  • Initial consultation: £250–£350
  • Fertility testing on top: £400–£700
  • Advice from people whose job is to sell treatment
  • Success rates often presented optimistically
  • Pressure to commit on the spot
  • £650–£1,050 before treatment has even started

Starting with us

  • Consultation from £99 (phone) or £120 (video)
  • Honest answer on whether you actually need IVF
  • Realistic success rates for your specific situation
  • Guidance on which fertility tests you actually need
  • Help picking the right clinic for your case
  • You arrive at the clinic already informed

Absolutely brilliant service. Smooth and simple from start to finish. As someone who has an anxiety disorder and can find the Dr’s and surgeries overwhelming it has been incredibly discreet and comfortable. Sonya was amazing. In this day the healthcare system doesn’t feel person centred anymore, this absolutely was.

If you’re busy with day-to-day life and need to speak to a clinician, this service is perfect for you. I actually feel listened to, unlike when calling the surgery, which can be stressful. Sonya was very helpful, polite and professional. Would definitely use this service again in the future.

Prompt response, very attentive and asks lots of questions to make sure they get a full picture of your current illness and past medical history. I would use them again, especially nowadays it has become quite difficult to get GP appointments. Very, very helpful and professional.

Common questions, answered honestly

If there’s something not covered here, ask us on the call.

Do you actually perform IVF?

No. We’re a consultation and referral service. We give you independent clinical advice and, when IVF is the right next step, we refer you to the best partner clinic for you in London, who carry out the treatment. The clinical decisions and the timing stay with you throughout.

What does the consultation actually cover?

A 30-minute private call, by phone or video. We review your fertility history, talk through any tests or results you have, explain how IVF works and what it would realistically involve for you, give you a clear cost breakdown, and discuss whether IVF is the right next step or whether something simpler should come first. You’ll leave with a written summary and, where appropriate, a direct referral to a partner clinic that suits you.

What actually is IVF?

IVF (In Vitro Fertilisation) is a fertility treatment where the ovaries are stimulated to produce multiple eggs, which are then collected and fertilised with sperm in a laboratory. Healthy embryos are cultured for a few days, and the strongest is transferred back to the womb. Extra embryos can be frozen for future cycles. The full cycle usually takes 4–6 weeks. Sonya will walk through the specific steps and timeline with you on the consultation.

How do I know if IVF is right for me?

You may not. That’s part of what the consultation is for. IVF is usually considered when natural conception hasn’t worked after 12 months of trying (or 6 months for women over 35), when there are blocked tubes, male factor issues, ovulation difficulties that haven’t responded to simpler treatments, or when other fertility treatments haven’t been successful. Sometimes IVF isn’t the right answer, and a simpler treatment like IUI or ovulation induction makes more sense first. We’ll talk you through what fits your situation.

What are realistic IVF success rates?

Success rates vary significantly depending on age, fertility history, and the underlying reason for difficulty conceiving. Clinics often present optimistic averages; the reality for an individual patient can be lower or higher than the headline number. Sonya will talk you through what the realistic numbers look like for your specific situation, and how many cycles people in your circumstances typically need. Most patients budget for 2–3 cycles to give themselves the best chance.

How long does IVF take from start to finish?

One IVF cycle typically takes 4–6 weeks from starting the medication to embryo transfer. Some shorter protocols run in around 3 weeks. If you need multiple cycles, you’d usually pause briefly between them. The fertility specialist will set out the exact timing once you’ve been seen.

Is IVF safe? What are the risks?

IVF is generally safe and most patients have no significant problems. There are real but uncommon risks worth understanding, including ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (a reaction to fertility medications), the possibility of multiple pregnancy if more than one embryo is transferred, and ectopic pregnancy. We’ll discuss the risks honestly on the consultation, and the fertility specialist will go through them again before treatment starts.

Can IVF be done without fertility drugs?

Yes. Natural cycle IVF uses no fertility medication; mild stimulation IVF uses a lower dose. Both are options for patients who can’t or prefer not to take standard fertility drugs. Success rates are generally lower than standard IVF, but for some patients these approaches are the right fit. We can discuss whether they make sense for you.

How much does the consultation cost?

The consultation fee is £99 for a phone consultation, or £120 for a video consultation. The fee covers the call, your written summary, and the referral letter if one is appropriate. There are no hidden costs.

Can I get NHS-funded IVF?

NHS-funded IVF is available, but eligibility varies by region and individual circumstances. Many couples either don’t qualify or face long waiting lists. We can explain how the NHS route would apply to you and how it compares to going private.

What if IVF isn’t right for us?

Then we’ll say so, explain why, and talk through what might be more appropriate. Sometimes that’s a simpler fertility treatment first; sometimes it’s more investigation before any treatment; sometimes it’s a different conversation altogether. The consultation has value either way. Knowing what isn’t right is part of getting to what is.

The longer you wait, the harder the maths gets.

Fertility is time-sensitive in a way most decisions aren’t. Months spent on NHS waiting lists or trying to figure out the next step alone are months that affect your chances.

A consultation now means information when it’s still useful. If IVF is the right step, your chosen partner clinic can usually see you fast. If it isn’t, you’ll find out before you’ve spent any of the money or any more of the time.
