No, not at all. When you require easy access to outstanding healthcare, MCO is a solution that complements your current GP service. By utilising the service, you do not need to remove your name from you GP surgery and can continue to be registered with them.
For some conditions, we offer a direct private prescription service upon answering the dedicated health questions; you have the ability to order a private prescription without the need to speak to a clinician. This service is £19.00 including first class delivery.
We offer phone and video consultations for all our listed conditions; this includes a 15 minute consultation with one of our qualified clinicians. We will review your symptoms and recommend and prescribe treatment if needed. Costing for these services are listed below:

If a private prescription is needed, this will be written and dispatched free of charge.
All our video consultations take place on the Zoom video conferencing platform. This has been chosen as it is the most accessible and widely used across many industries. Once your order is confirmed, you will receive a personal Zoom link to access your consultation. This can be accessed via a mobile, tablet or laptop. A web browser (Chrome or Edge) can be used to access the link from a laptop. You can also download the Zoom app on your mobile or tablet and join via these devices. Download links are below.

We recommend your device has a good camera, working microphone and strong internet connection.
Your symptoms will be discussed with the clinician online much like in a face-to-face session. They can also examine any affected regions. The clinician can write you a prescription if you need medication to get better.
MCO offers a service which may require a prescription for treatment. Our qualified clinicians review each patient to understand if you are suitable for treatment before issuing a prescription. Once this is done your private prescription is sent to your nominated pharmacy or home address.
Once you have consulted with a clinician (via the form or consultation) they will advise if you need medication. They will then provide a private prescription and send this to your local pharmacy for you to collect or your home (by first class post) to take in to your pharmacy. You’ll need to pay the private prescription charges at the pharmacy, these prices will vary depending on pharmacies and medication.
We will never share your personal information with anyone without your consent.
No, we do not have access to your medical records, nor is there any connection between your MCO patient Record and your NHS record.
If you consent to sharing the information from the service with your GP’s surgery, please supply their name, address, and fax number.
Consultation appointments are available 7 days a week and same day appointments are available depending on availability.
Private prescriptions can be by faxed directly to your nominated pharmacy or sent via first class delivery to your home address.
We accept payments using Visa and Mastercard debit and credit cards.
We do not provide refunds for any type of consultations we provide.
You can rebook your video or telephone consultation 72 hours prior to the initial appointment book if this time is inconvenient, but you have to book this within 14 days of the initial booking.
If you miss your appointment, please get in touch with our patient experience team on support@medicalconsultationsonline.co.uk. Please note, you will not be eligible for a refund for missed appointments. If you think you are going to miss your appointment, you can cancel up to 4 hours before your appointment start time for a full refund. If you cancel less than 4 hours before, we will not be able to process the refund.

You should only make one account, and you shouldn’t share your account with anybody else. Your care will probably be delayed if you open a second account. We provide a straightforward password reset procedure if you’ve forgotten yours.
